Dr. Janelle Jackman was born in the culturally diverse Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago. She is an accomplished physician, with over eight (8) years of experience in OBGYN, with a concentration in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She has an intrinsic desire to help families, while stretching the boundaries of modern medicine. She is proud to be part of the elite group of doctors providing fertility treatment at New Hope Fertility Center.

Dr. Jackman obtained her Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree as well as her Medical Degree (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from the University of The West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago on a full scholarship. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, graduating at the top of her class as Chief Resident with recognition in research on reproductive health. She is an excellent skilled surgeon with extensive experience in performing both laparoscopic and robotic surgery and is one of the primary surgeons at NHFC.

Dr. Jackman is an active researcher and honoree of many awards. She has published manuscripts in high-quality medical journals. She has a focus on ovarian rejuvenation for women with diminished ovarian reserve as well as working with minority groups to ensure access for all. Her past research also focused on obesity and reproduction, male factor infertility, ethnicity and infertility as well as quality improvement and patient safety Dr. Jackman is passionate about education and loves sharing knowledge. As such she teaches resident physicians and medical students alike as well as writes Board Preparation questions in OBGYN. Her patients also benefit from her mastery and innate ability to translate complex terms and procedures into user-friendly language. Dr. Jackman is a quality provider who has a genuine interest in helping her patients and believes in spending the necessary time with patients to foster a true relationship and provide excellent personal care. Dr. Jackman strives daily to provide a comfortable and caring environment in order to ensure that her patients are fully able to get their fertility needs and goals addressed.

Dr. Jackman speaks English but is proud that she has learned basic phrases in Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish and French. She can say good morning in most of the languages that our patients speak in NHFC.
