Cryopreservation Using Vitrification at New Hope Fertility Center

Cryopreservation Using Vitrification

New Hope Fertility uses the newest method, vitrification, for freezing eggs, sperm, embryos and ovarian tissue. Vitrification uses a flash freezing method that prevents the formation of ice crystals, which can damage the egg, sperm, embryo or ovarian tissue.

Survival rates during the thawing process are 98 percent for vitrification versus 55 percent when the traditional slow-dunk method is used.
